Through this virtual workshop and facilitated discussion, Dr Melissa Marot will explore practical tools with you to help navigate change and uncertainty in our current circumstances. Conference & Tradeshow 2 – 3 June 2022

RIA Inc. presents the Restoration Industry event of the year with our biggest trade show space to date with over 90% of our booths already secured. With experienced professionals speaking on topics from restoration to air quality along with live demonstrations there’s something for everybody.

Odour Control Technician Course

Friday 3rd December 2021 8am – 5pm AEST

We are excited to host our second educational opportunity for 2021 with our friends from the IICRC.

The Odour Control Technician course covers olfaction and odour, odour sources, detection process, theory of odour control equipment, chemical options and applications.

This course will be delivered by IICRC instructor Gary Loiben. Gary has 40 years in the cleaning and restoration industry and has been a Technical Trainer at Restoration Sciences Academy for the past 14 years. Gary has trained thousands of restoration and cleaning professionals in the principles of fire, odour and water damage restoration. Gary holds several designations and certifications related to restoration, to include AMRT, MR, CMRT and CIE.

This is a one day course; 7 hours, not including exam time, lunch and breaks that will be presented via Zoom in Australian time from 8am to 5pm with short breaks every hour and a 30 minute lunch break.  

Students will learn how to address odours caused from biological sources such as decomposition, urine contamination and mould, combustion sources such as fire and smoke damage, and chemical sources such as fuel oil spills or volatile organic chemicals. 

You must obtain this certification to earn your Master Textile Cleaner designation as well as your Master Fire and Smoke Restorer designation.
