Restoration Conference & Trade Show 25 – 27 May, 2022

RIA Inc. presents the Restoration Industry event of the year with our biggest trade show space to date with over 90% of our booths already secured. With experienced professionals speaking on topics from restoration to air quality along with live demonstrations there’s something for everybody.   

We welcome you once again to the beautiful Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, Twin Waters Queensland.  
This unique exhibition space boasts over 3,000 square meters and comfortably caters for 1,500 guests. With over 300 resort rooms to choose from including one and two bedroom suites and beautifully appointed overwater bungalows you are sure to feel like you’re on holiday while actually working. 

Come along to the long awaited catch up at the Vendor Sponsored Drinks and Registration Wednesday afternoon, May 25th to relax and reconnect with your network before the busyness of the conference.

Join us for breakfast Thursday morning on the conference deck then into our morning session of industry speakers. Break for lunch and then move into the trade show in the afternoon. Network with industry associates at our afternoon event with drinks and canapés in the trade hall and relax into the evening.

Join us once more for breakfast on Friday morning on the conference deck, again moving into the conference, lunch, trade show and relax into our farewell dinner and award presentations in the evening.

Environmental Day 25 May, 2022

We are excited to host in conjunction with the IAQAA the Environmental Day.

Creating healthier buildings with filtration, ventilation and validation.

The Indoor Air Quality Association Australia is dedicated to bringing practitioners together to prevent and solve indoor environmental problems for the benefit of customers and the public. The IAQAA is committed to developing and growing relationships with other organisations to actively raise the profile of indoor air quality issues and serve the industry and public interests. 

Come together with industry professionals discussing current issues with indoor air quality and public health. Listen and network with leading industry speakers about Epidemiology, Toxicology, Microbiology, Environmental Chemistry, Restoration and more.

RIA Project Management Course 23 – 24 May, 2022

RIA’s Project Management Course, a prerequisite option for all three RIA pillar designation courses (WLS, CLS, FLS), will bring you through the full life cycle and flow of a project, from when the phone rings to cashing the check. It centres around the framework of project management but relates the information back to the industry in a very relevant way that would benefit any project manager. You will learn tips and tricks to enhance your understanding of how to think ahead, plan effectively, and manage a well-organised and successful project.

This course is being held both in person at the RIA Inc. Conference and via Zoom. Our chief instructor Craig Powers will be joining leading via Zoom and we will have Australian CR’s Owen and Christine Boak in person to assist with training and in class interaction.

Craig Powers, CLS

Craig Powers is the Corporate Director of Restoration for COIT Cleaning & Restoration residing in Seattle, WA. He is a 30 Year Cleaning & Restoration industry professional that has successfully completed several thousand water damage, mold remediation and fire damage projects around the Country. 

He currently sits on the Restoration Industry Association Board of Directors, Education Committee, IICRC S-550 Consensus Body Member drafting a new commercial water damage standard and is an IICRC Master Water Restorer, Master Fire Restorer and holds the IICRC’s advanced certification of Applied Mold Remediation Specialist, Mold Removal Specialist and holds the Florida Mold Remediation License as well as the Texas Mold Remediation Contractor License and is RIA CLS certified. 

Craig has a particular passion for large commercial and industrial losses involving high rise multi-tenant properties.

Craig frequently speaks at and attends industry events, sharing his passion for all things disaster restoration.  He has authored water damage and mold remediation SOP’s for a large corporation and is a consultant to restoration companies and insurance companies for large loss disaster restoration.

This 2 day in person course will focus on the first five steps of a project life-cycle:

  • Execution
  • Project Performance
  • Project Close
