The IICRC Standards are designed to establish common, industry-accepted language and terminology, allowing for a more universal approach to discussing concepts and procedures related to cleaning, inspection, and restoration. The IICRC is a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and an accredited standards developer. ANSI coordinates standards, conformity assessment, and related activities in the United States, ensuring that national consensus standards meet due process, consensus, and other criteria required for approval.
The IICRC Standards have expanded over time, focusing on developing, revising, and publishing standards of care for the cleaning, restoration, and inspection industries. Three new and revised ANSI/IICRC Published Standards include:
– ANSI/IICRC S590 Standard for Assessing HVAC Systems Following a Water, Fire, or Mold Damaged Event – First Edition, 2023
– ANSI/IICRC S800 Standard for Professional Inspection of Textile Floorcovering – Second Edition, 2023
– ANSI/IICRC S540 Standard for Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup – Second Edition, 2023
We are excited to announce the upcoming standards: the ANSI/IICRC S520 Standard for Professional Mold Remediation, the ANSI/IICRC S700 Standard for Professional Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration, and the ANSI/IICRC S760 Standard for Professional Wildfire Investigations and Restoration of Impacts to Structures, Systems, and Contents.

"I recently attended an RIA event to learn more about the industry and the updates to the new IICRC documents. The speakers were on point with their topics, they were engaging and very informative. I also met some incredible people and can see real value for That Cleaning Crew in being a member. Congrats to Brodie, Sam, Marcus, Mehmet, and the RIA team."
