This session provides an overview of these changes, the reasons behind them, and the potential impact on wet area restoration. We will examine common failures in waterproofing and explore the causes or contributing factors behind these issues.
Speaker Bio
Peter is the HIA’s Director of Building Services for Victoria and Tasmania, with over four years of experience at HIA. In his role, he advocates on behalf of HIA members with government on residential building, sustainability, and other regulatory matters, while also providing high-level technical support for members.
Peter previously worked for the Victorian Building Authority and represented the Victorian Government on the Building Codes Committee with the Australian Building Codes Board. With over 40 years of experience in the building regulatory environment, Peter has a broad range of industry expertise, having held positions as a municipal building surveyor, building inspector, and in building control across several State and Local Governments.
