The Advocacy Committee would like to announce that RIA Inc. now has a Restoration Advocate! This is an important milestone achievement for the restoration industry in this region, made possible with the support of the Advocacy Movement sponsors, membership, committee members, RIA USA and supporters of RIA Inc.

This includes 11 years working for Suncorp and IAG in senior corporate affairs, regulatory and product roles. He has also worked in senior ministerial roles for the Queensland Government and was Head of Communications and Public Affairs for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

During his time in the insurance industry, Marcus:

His experience, understanding of the insurance landscape, network and support will play an important role in forwarding the aims of the RIA Inc. Advocacy Movement and to improve the industry for all stakeholders (restorers, builders, vendors, customers, insurers and partners) involved.

The Head of Advocacy has already commenced formalising the Industry Advocacy and Awareness Strategy 2022 – 2025 and expects many of the plans’ tactical elements to ramp up early in the new year. We will provide updates as things continue to progress including insights into our advocacy strategy and what we need to do as an industry to support it.

If you would like to communicate anything to the Head of Advocacy, please write to advocacy@restorationindustry.org.au, addressing the email to Marcus.
